  Great location!

  The street side rooms are very noisy and the internet reception is really poor on the lower levels.

  The room was very clean, and the hotel image is presented as up-scale (but it is not). Close to downtown. I stayed there for business purposes. Therefore, it suited my needs nicely.

  The room was advertised as "Executive", with king size bed. The room was very small. The only reason it is called "Executive", is because it's above 8th. floor. The bed was not even a queen size. Somewhat larger than double, but not quite Queen. But, advertised as King bed. The room was noted as "the most spacious". It was no larger than 15 feet by 15 feet. Disappointing.

  I didn't realize that the room had two single beds..I need more space than a single bed normally provides.

  The Location was great and the beds are comfortable.

  Had to pay for the internet which is free at all other hotels. There weren't any amenities and there could have been a lot more for the money spent.

  The rooms were small and not conducive for business travel. The amenities made working on the road very difficult. Beds were basic and too hard for a comfortable stay.

  Clerk had little time, left without giving me key. Had to wait for another clerk; also too busy. 'Security' deposit exceeded my Booked.net $92 quote by over $50

  The staff seems very cold. Rooms too small. Entry to hotel isn't welcoming. If you're in downtown toronto for just couple of days this is good.

  I was in Toronto for a conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The hotel is the only inexpensive option within walking disgance of the centre. Its downtown location in the financial district is ideal for business travellers. The Toronto airport shuttle stops at the Fairmont Hotel across the road. There are plenty of eateries and convenience shops nearby and the Eaton Centre is within walking distance. The harbour is also nearby.

  An in-room safe would be nice. Also an electric kettle. I personally don't like squeezing bath soap from a dispenser.

  Location pretty good - very near the train station and a short walk from the cn tower and Eaton Centre shopping area. It is in the middle of the Financial District but this didn't necessarily detract from the hotel. Just not as many nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

  There was a charge for the wifi, while not being astronomical, this is unusual in that most hotels now have free wifi.

  The location, for what we were doing - attending a play at the Princess of Wales Theatre and a performance at the Air Canada Centre, couldn't have been better. We could walk everywhere and we were just across the street from where the Porter Airways shuttle picked up. The room was quite small but very adequate for our needs.

  Strong disinfectant smell and very small closet which was difficult to access.

  It was very convenient and just what I was looking for. I 'm from out-of- town and it was just an o/n stay to attend the opera. The young lady acting as concierge was very friendly and particularly helpful. I wouldn't hestitate to use the Strathcona again for this king of stay.

  The staff were very friendly, I was especially impressed when they agreed to look after our luggage,(after we had booked out), while we went round the city. I would certainly use the Strathcona again.
